It's sad that all the really, truly beautiful cars are like 30 feet long.

An interesting thought.

You always post fantastic looking cars.
A man with Dusenberg in his name must have great taste.

A truly beautiful car will never be small in the same way that there'll never be a short top-model.

It's true though- it's a fact that bigger cars are better proportioned. We like length, big wheels, long hoods, long wheelbases and a wide, low stance.

that gaping maw still looks better than the current Lexus spindle grille.

Yeah but look at these exhausts though

I got a boner like when I was 14 years old...unkillable.

I tried to find an exception and could not. While there are many short cars that are exciting to the eye, I could not find one that was "truly beautiful".

E-Type? Mercedes 300SL? Ferrari 250? I guess beauty is in they eye of the beholder, but I think those would be classified by most (myself included) as "beautiful". They are different from the big, elegant cars of the 30's, 40's and 50's, but they are beautiful in their own way.

Well I hotught of all of those but I decided that they could also be thought of as "long". Perhaps a Lancia Aurelia Spider, Talbot Lago T150, or Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ would work.

The styling may look elongated, but both the 300SL and the E-Type are smaller than a Chevy Cruze.

I guess you're right.

Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes

Oh I know. I guess I was just trying to find a micro car with the same elegance, beauty, and form as a full sized Duesenburg or one-off italian-bodied '50's full size. Turns out it's pretty hard.

Now that you pointed it out and I'm thinking about it, yes it is.
